Safe Pedestrian Access into the Ruakura Campus from Ruakura Road

There was a death of a high school student crossing the road here. It seems just a matter of time before it happens again, unless the access is improved.

It seems crazy to have a pedestrian walkway from Ruakura East entrance right through to Ruakura Rd but absolutely no safe crossing to get across to the Ruakura Rd footpath.

Lives are more important than time

Trying to get to the Ruakura entrance is always a nightmare. Maniac drivers, and there are lots of them, do not have any courtesy, or respect to other legal road users. I've had first hand dangerous experience of cycling to Ruakura Campus from the Uni -- merging from the cycle lane to the right turn bay was impossible. Cars would rather over take cyclists on the right turn bay than slowing down and letting them safely merge. Something definitely needs to be done about that crossing.

Sign! We need a crossing ASAP

Need to mark a safe connection for riders using wairere drive bikepaths to access uni. I hate crossing that road to and from ruakura entrance!

I generally avoid walking to work because of the risk involved with crossing Ruakura rd.

I support a Safe Pedestrain Access into the Ruakura Campus from Ruakura Road

I walk to/from Uni each day and watch people walking and cycling trying to get across this roadway, even cars on a busy day. I think a roundabout with pedestrian crossing would be beneficial for week day traffic.

Underpass would be better

I cross this road every day, and say a prayer everyday...this is so needed!

Traffic is carzy on this road and pedestrians often take silly risks to get across as there is no other way unless drivers stop for them

Traffic volume on Ruakura Road has increased dramatically and even taking a right turn into the Research Centre has become a challenge.

Make it safe please

It's always dangerous and there has been at least one child death here. Please make it safe for pedestrians to access.
