According to our research, a major reason why people litter is that they cannot find dustbins. So they tend to just chuck the garbage anywhere and everywhere. We therefore have a serious problem at our hands that needs to be resolved. Saafasutra gathtered public opinion and found that there is a dire need of dustbins in the places listed below:
1) Outside Dadar Station
2) Grant Road East - near station
3) Churchgate to Fort Area
4) Andheri
5) Dharavi
6) Bandra East
Through this petition, we would therefore like to bring this to the notice of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) that a major reason that the places mentioned above are marked by litter strewn streets and roads is a negligible amount of dustbins. It is our humble request that this issue be addressed as soon as possible and more dustbins be installed in the specified areas.

The response from the city has been quiet which is frustrating but expected. I am tired of looking at these streets and I know you are too, so we keep pushing forward.

Reaching this level of support feels heavy because it confirms what I already suspected about our city streets. I am drained from the constant push against bureaucracy but seeing this momentum makes it impossible to turn back now.

BMC needs to wake up. This is basic civic stuff.
It is so hard to find a bin when you are walking in Bandra. People are lazy but if there was a bin maybe the streets would actually look clean.
Finally someone addressing this! Dadar station is a complete mess every single morning. We need bins everywhere or it will never change.
Good work kids. Hope the authorities listen because this city deserves better than piles of garbage on every corner.

Total nightmare walking near the station during monsoon. Trash everywhere because there is literally nowhere to put empty bottles or wrappers.
