I oppose annexation because our neighborhood roads will be privately maintained and all other services and infrastructure are already provided.

I am opposed to this proposed annexation unless the decision as to whether or not Limestone Ranch should be annexed into the city of San Antonio is put to a vote of the residents of Limestone Ranch.

The nearest San Antonio Police Station to my house appears to be the one at 5020 Prue Rd, San Antonio, TX 78240. It is 14.9 miles from my home and located at approximately Prue Road and Fredericksburg Road. Assuming that there is only light traffic (as in early on a Saturday morning), the estimate is that it would take 20 minutes for them to arrive once they were dispatched. If they were to be dispatched during an evening rush hour, I would expect them to arrive sometime within the next 2 hours. How often would San Antonio Police officers patrol Limestone Ranch, given that it is relatively sparsely populated and 14.9 miles from their station house?
Admittedly, there is a San Antonio Fire Department station located at (approximately) Boerne Stage Road and Scenic Loop. However, based upon the fct that it appears to be the only fire station outside of 1604 on the North West side, I am concerned that the area assigned to that station might be too large for the resources assigned to that station if San Antonio executes the proposed annexation.
Additionally, we already pay Kendal County/Boerne school taxes, which are noticeably higher than those of every San Antonio school district taxes that I know of. The fact that we do NOT have to pay San Antonio city taxes partially compensates for the higher school taxes that we do pay. Those of us in Limestone Ranch who are retired may not have room in our budgets for the increased taxes that we would be facing should we be annexed.
Finally, as with virtually every other aspect of "San Antonio life", the pertinence of the San Antonio Express News to Limestone Ranch is typical of how much Limestone Ranch residents have in common with the residents of San Antonio. Even the TV Listings in the San Antonio Express News have no meaning for the residents of Limestone ranch who have GVTC Cable Service .
From the aspect of Limestone Ranch, I do not see any significant benefit from our being annexed into the city of San

I am completley opposed to this whole Annexation. In fact, if this goes through I will be forced to sell my house. I am a single mom putting my daughter through college and WILL NOT support a 14,000 or more per year tax on MY property.

Our children attend school in Boerne, we shop in Boerne, and we dine in Boerne. Boerne is more of our town than San Antonio and it's more responsible for us to become part of their city.

We previously lived in Boerne; moved back in 2014, specifically to live in Boerne, not SA. Bexar Cty Sheriff doing a great job of patrolling our area; am sure SA can't improve on that. Other SA "services" would be better for residents? Not! Last SA fire stn built near proposed I-10 annexation area could not respond successfully to its 1st major fire call. Does SA have $$ to build new senior center since every SA district has at least one? What other service "plans" does Planning Commission have in mind? Lastly, why does SA City Council (not elected by proposed annexation residents) have the right to annex us? Residents/other affected cities/towns have no say? Do we not live in a democracy?
