Getting around Bristol is easiest by bike and cyclists need improved cycle lanes and recognition of the problems of city centre cycling to make it a safer experience.

There are some car drivers who put cyclists in danger perhaps deliberately but more likely through ignorance or because they are in a hurry.

It's important that cycling is made safe and easy for all ages.

The lack of safe cycle routes and cycling infrastructure puts many people off cycling in Bristol. That and the less than optimal public transport options mean that Bristol will remain a car dominated city.

Cycling should be a high priority. Money spent on cycling benefits the whole city - better health, less health costs, fitter and more alert pupils, students snd workers and reduced pollution.

More proper cycle routes, less token ones like the new one over redcliffe hill.
More enforcement of bad driving and parking

If for no other reason than the health of ALL Bristolians, cycling should be given a much higher priority. It is not an add-on; it is simply the most efficient, the healthiest, and the most environmentally friendly means of transporting people around the city.

We are cycling family. My five year old is the only one in his class who comes in on his bike.
The other parents would like to do the same but will do so when there are safe cycling lanes. So please do help to make the roads safer for children

Respect for the cyclist. (And to cyclists, respect for the car driver.)Travelling in safe and respectful harmony is the healthy outcome I would like to see.

Cycling space needs to be given much more consideration at the planning stage. It is a travesty that in Bristol, cars are given such high priority.

Getting more people cycling is a win win win situation - less pollution, less congestion, better individuals health.

Getting tired of being 'punished' with diesel fumes because I cycle. Needs serious consideration, the number of vehicles, including the councils own little vans chucking out black smoke is phenomenal considering they all presumably have mots. Co2 spot checks for the uk 'green capital' please!

More joined up, segregated cycle routes are required to enable complete journeys to be made by bike in safety.

cycle improvements are too slow and the provision is poorly thought out. we need proper investment and oversight of designated and protected cycle ways.

Essential contribution to health and carbon dioxide reduction- we need Scandinavian levels of cycling and lack of safety is the big deterrent. Cars and cycles don't mix.

I frequently visit Bristol and some parts are OK for cycling but much is still woefully inadequate for a 21st century city.
