Bristol is a wonderful city please make it safer for cyclists and encourage more people to use cycling as their preferred choice for around town transport. More people on bikes will reduce pollution and congestion.

The key to getting more people cycling and out of their cars is separated space...on specifically designed cycleways.

I cycle most days, but sometimes feel I take my life in my own hands. I have colleagues who want to cycle but are afraid to do so. Let's make it better for all!

Please make the centre of Bristol user friendly for cyclists, at the moment a cyclist has to go on the fast dual carriage way to get through the centre from the station

I commute by bike daily and am fed up with being put in danger by car and bus drivers

I would cycle into town rather than use the car if there were segregated cycle lanes in the city centre.

Protected cycle lanes are great and safe, but if car/van drivers could be persuaded to drive safely and legally then protected cycle lanes would not be necessary. Protected cycle lanes may also reinforce motorists wrong belief that the roads are for motor vehicles and cyclists should keep off them. can we solve this?

Cycle routes need to be much clearer and more joined up. e.g. new segregated route along Clarence Rd to TM spits you out onto series of inadequate and dangerous crossings. Benchmark: would a 10-year old child feel safe on this route?

Bristol is not safe for cyclists and needs to be made safer as congestion and traffic is awful.

More segregated cycle routes for more happy cyclists, pedestrians and drivers.

It is quite dangerous to walk on the pavements in the centre of Bristol because of cyclists riding on them. I've already been hit by one. There needs to be more control to stop this happening.

Bicycles and electric cars are the way forwards. Lets have a shiny future.

Bristol is a cycling city due to the people of Bristol, not because it is cycle-friendly. Without allocated cycle lanes, car drivers care very little for the safety of cyclists (spoken from personal experience and that of colleagues/ friends). Cycling is beneficial for our environment, is sustainable and improves our health. We need to encourage cycling in our (ever-growing) city before Bristol comes to a standstill, and the pollution levels are beyond our control.

I love cycling but currently feel it's too dangerous for commuting purposes and had an accident in autumn as a result. It definitely needs to be made more cycle friendly.

If there were dedicated cycles paths citywide I could safely transport my 2 kids by bike. I don't feel safe towing 2 kids on the back

I want better provision for cycling around the city for myself and my young children. we cycle because we hate sitting in traffic to get in / out / around the centre, we also cycle as an enjoyable activity as a family!

Bristol needs more, better, more coherent, safer cycle lanes as well as traffic lights with induction loops that are sensitive enough to pick up bikes, as a start. There is lots more that could be done on top of that, of course!
