In these days of young adults arriving at college being driven by 'whats on the test?' because that's what they learned to care about in high school, I'm surprised you would reject a kid whose passion matches your mission! This is a young man who will shine in his career, and not one who'll sleep in class because his parents put him there. He's driven, he's obviously a self-starter, he's going to be a great pilot. Make it work!

Our family has known Ryan for 10 years and he is a wonderful young man with an honorable dream of becoming a Navy pilot. The NJROTC program will help him accomplish that dream. As a parent whose son went through ROTC, served a tour in Afghanistan, and is now a Captain in the Army Reserves, we know how valuable the ROTC program is. Because you have the ability to help him pursue his dream, please approve his request to attend Cary High School for their NJROTC Program.

I was Ryan Wolf's 7th grade science teacher at East Cary Middle School. Without any hesitation I wholeheartedly believe that Ryan Wolf and the NJROTC are a perfect match. Ryan is a young man who consistently displays the highest character and has an unshakable determination to give nothing but his best to any project that he commits himself to taking on. Because I have spent a year of my life observing Ryan; his abilities, his passion, and his natural leadership ... it is easy for me to see that a decision to allow Ryan to attend Cary HS would benefit not only Ryan but also the NJROTC. I am asking that you reconsider and that you allow this young man into a program that was designed specifically for students like Ryan Wolf. Thank you.

I live in Cary (not Clayton as stated above) and my neighborhood is in Cary High School's attendance area. There is not a good reason to deny this young man the opportunity to participate in the only Naval ROTC program that is offered in Wake County public schools.

This is a reasonable request for a transfer. The reason for this request is not frivolous and Cary High School is not overcrowded, so the school board does not have a good reason to deny it.

My parents were the people who started this program at CHS when my oldest brother wanted a better chance of getting into the naval academy. This is an excellent program providing outstanding opportunities

I would think Cary high would be proud and honored to have a kid with so much motivation and potential to attend there. With so many bad kids not wanting to do anything but be a burden on the system I would think this would be a no brainer. You should him simply for the fact that you would want to help him grow with his training and experience that he already has. Please don't make him miss this one and only opportunity to fulfill his dreams as this is the only school with this program. There is no doubt in my mind this exactly what he needs to become an awesome soldier one day and have a huge impact with our nation.
