As Ryan’s dad, I can attest that Ryan’s desire to do NJROTC is something that he has been passionate about and not just a passing fancy. He is exactly the type of kid this program is meant for and he will represent the program well.

As a student who transferred in high school for similar reasons (to pursue opportunities not available at my zoned public school), I cannot emphasize enough the importance of access to extra curricular opportunities to young adults. He is trying to take advantage of early educational and leadership opportunities, that would otherwise be unavailable to him. This sounds like the exact type of student most schools would be envious to enroll- one who puts forth the extra effort and time to perfect his craft, and is eager to achieve highly and impress instructors. I hope his wish to access this ROTC program is not denied, and that he is able to take advantage of the opportunities that participating in this program will afford him.

We had the pleasure of knowing the Wolfram family while we lived in NC. Ryan and his family would be a tremendous asset to Cary High School. We hope that you will reconsider and allow this fine young man to attend your school so that he can part of the Naval JROTC program.

I know Ryan's parents, especially his mom who was my colleague. They raised their kids with a giving heart, strong work ethic and values. Cary High would benefit from having Ryan in your program as well as having a hand in shaping one of America's future leaders. As a mom of 4, I am all too aware of the restrictions put on these kids due to school assignments. While it is one thing to desire to attend a school, it is another thing when there is only one program in the area for this young man to be a part of. I hope this makes a difference for this young man!

Ryan is a very driven individual dedicated to flight and shows aptitude that I rarely see in young adults. Mentally and physically Ryan is a perfect candidate for the NJROTC program, and to deny him this opportunity would be a travesty of justice.
