Please get our kids back to in person instruction. The priority should be for kids with special education plans and 504's. We have 3 kids and 2 working parents. We need our kids in school! Kids are going to gather,
We can have outdoor classrooms, we can have small groups, we can make this work! Parents are going to form education groups. If we have to fund out education elsewhere, there is going to be less money donated in the district. Distance learning should be available for those parents who don't feel comfortable but we want a choice too. Please look worldwide, schools are open.

Parents of means are going to send their children to pods with paid caregivers or pop up schools that are unregulated and privatizing education. We are trying to do our best for our kids with a terrible situation. But if we do this there will be less money for public education.

Covid #s in Tiburon and immediately surrounding areas are extremely low. Why doesn't RUSD look at those numbers when deciding the re-opening? Plus a number of parents will decide to keep their kids at home for distance learning which will further reduce the number of kids in school. RE-open and start doing the jobs you are paid for!

Our kids have been in camp all summer without incident. Let’s focus on the science and not be swayed by hysteria.
Kids, parents and teachers need to stay healthy (mentally/physically/emotionally). Learning at school is Essential for many kids, including kids with special needs. A safe and reasonable solution is to offer half day school, 5x wk outdoors, 10ft apart in smaller pods of 12 students. If the other half day is at home, let’s get back to basics of reading, writing, math and outdoor activity. If there is PE, kids must be distanced with NO masks because they need to breathe! Siblings MUST be on the same schedule throughout the RUSD, so essential parents can work. High risk teachers could choose to teach the homeschooling kids. Respectfully, teachers pay should be increased!❤️

If only 20 people in Tiburon have tested positive since the pandemic has begun, Reed School district does not have any justification for staying closed. Kids need open schools!

Absolutely agree with the comments made by others. Our kids need to be back in school. Distance learning is not a long term solution.

We all know the risks at this point, shouldn't it be our choice as parents? I have seen the emotional damage of being homeschooled for 3 months, the loneliness and frustration, it can’t continue. Let it be our choice. For those that want to homeschool, if it’s right for you, great. It wasn’t right for my kids and never will be.

Reopening school safely is primordial. It is important for social interaction to go back to school. Being a non English native, I cannot teach my kid the reading and pronunciation. Also at this age they benefit tremendously from a teacher.

I hope we'll lead as an example of rational, measured, informed decision making. As a physician, I'm comfortable having my child join others with the information we have available today.

My kids need to be taught by credentialed teachers in a classroom setting. We can send them in masks and get them tested prior to school starting in order to keep everyone safe.
