For the sake of families who want to remain in this community, children who need to get back into school and parents who are not able to homeschool. Please commit to full school for families who want it this fall.

We are dealing with a situation of managing risk. Keeping our kids at home may reduce infection risk, however increases long term social, educational and emotional damage that far outweigh the risk of sending our kids to school

There is absolutely nothing more important than having our kids back on campus this fall. We have already exacted a heavy toll on their education as well as their emotional well being while evidence continues to pile up that children are neither at significant risk from this disease nor a significant source of community transmission.

My kids will not listen to me to home school - the year would be a total fail with me as their teacher.

Please listen to reason, not fear. All available research shows us that children are not spreading Covid-19 to adults. Studies in China, Great Britain, Iceland, and Denmark have not have ONE contact case where a child has given it to an adult. It is possible to keep teachers and staff safe while also prioritizing our childrens’ well being.

Children need to be in school and working parents need their children to be in class so we can earn a living. As a community we cannot begin to move forward if the school closures continue. Teachers are Essential Workers; just as the medical, first responder, service, hospitality, retail, and other front line workers had to return, it is time for our teachers to return to the office and support our children!
