RUNNERS! Demand Accurate Race Results and Better Transfer Policies in the Running Industry

This is a great idea. I've found myself sidelined once or twice with injuries for big races and as part of a large endurance running group, a program like this would be a godsend!

There would be no liability of people running with someone else's number of races would just allow us to transfer them. It's a shame they will just take your money if you end up not being able to run. We work hard to pay for and train for many races... And for my friends when we can't do a race we signed up for... We are disappointed!

Let's make this happen! BOOM!

This is a necessary tool for all races. I don't know how many times myself or my friends have had to miss a race and don't have any legal way to offer our race entries to others.

Registered for my first 10k months ago, have been training and am super excited...now I'm invited to a destination wedding that weekend. Would love to register for a different 10k, but not if it means paying for both races.

Bibswitch is offering a fair market solution to an existing market reality.

Dear Edina, I think your website / idea is fantastic. I am always trying through various ways to get places for different events - legitimate or black market or running with someone else's number. I agree that we should be able to do transfer bibs. within a reasonable time.

I got injured a few weeks before 3 spring races. I missed the refund date for a half marathon and am out the cash. I trained so hard for it and fully intended to run it.

I've had injuries that I ended up scooting in a race on a knee scooter not to lose my bib. You can say I'm dedicated. Had I had the option to do anything it would have been easier on me.

This is a reasonable solution to a real problem in the running community!

In the hospital on the day of your race? Yes. Does the race allow a refund or defer of the $85 entry fee? Hell no! This policy needs to change.

Good idea. In addition to benefits to runners, race directors will see more advanced registrations that will help them to plan and increase numbers at races. I typically wait until 2 weeks before a race to register because of injury risk and loss of registration fee.

I am struggling with a plantar faciitis, that kept apart of the last Disney marathon. It is no fair that a runner under this cirscumstances, does not receive a refund or a defer option. The organization did nothing to attend my request. Manuel from Ecuador
