This petition was created to encourage EA to look into a better method for catching and preventing the use of various AIMBOTs in their online first person shooters.
AIMBOTs ruin the dynamics and potential fun of any online game. Many modern
games are relying on online gaming aspects to drive sales by offering a long
term dynamic playing experience driven by human participants as opposed to an
offline single player campaign. When you allow programs that enable humans to
aim with robotic accuracy and achieve things that the human eye and hand are not
capable of doing, it ruins the fun of those who are not using these programs. It
also changes the way battle maps are played.
For example: Why would you use
cover in the middle of the map when you can snipe with a pistol in your own base and successfully target opposing players across the map?
The use of AIMBOTs can
potentially affect the sale of first person shooters. I am currently
dissatisfied with the way that EA is handling this problem. I feel that as a
paying EA customer that I am not receiving the full value of my game. I also
feel that more should be done to catch and prevent the use of HACKS and AIMBOTS
and it is up to EA to implement a working and reliable method of catching and
preventing the use of AIMBOTS.
