My boys (2 10 yr olds) loved our animals. We never had to ask them to feed them. They had fun with them and now they are completely heartbroken about all of this.

We are on almost 2 acres with a little over acre fenced in back yard. I had more than enough space for all of my animals (code enforcement told me i had plenty of room too) I have lost a couple chickens in the past year so we only had 4 hens and 1 rooster (which we had just got).

I'm so sorry Angel! That is awful! These pets become like family to us. My 12 chickens make me smile daily.. How much land do you live on?

I recently just went through the same thing. I was even made to rehome our PET pygmy goats. I had them for almost 3 years and then on the 24th of March I got a knock on my door from code enforcement. It's not fair and something does need to change. Thank you to everyone who has signed so far.

Please change this so that people who live on land in a rural community can own chickens. I have friends who own chickens in the middle of the city of Denver, Colorado. If someone can own chickens in a city, then most certainly someone who lives in rural Georgia should be able to have chickens.

If the city of Chamblee can approve backyard chickens, surely unincorporated Walton can allow them.

She should be able to keep her chickens. She has over an acre of land and no covenants.

If you own the yard you should be able to do what you want.
May I ask if you are in Walton County?
