The Toronto Star printed an article on May 5th 2009 with unsubstantiated allegations against Dr. Ruby Dhalla, Member of Parliament for Brampton-Springdale. Despite ample proof given to Toronto Star reporter Dale Brazao, the media has chosen to focus solely on unsubstantiated allegations.
Petition:
We the undersigned, call on the Toronto Star to print a retraction for the unsubstantiated allegations made against Dr. Ruby Dhalla. The community supports and stands behind Dr. Dhalla.
Seeing this level of support for Ruby reminds me why I started this in the first place. It is clear that our community refuses to let these unfair attacks stand unchallenged.

The response from the Brampton community has been overwhelming and confirms that trust in our representative remains strong. We are currently compiling the latest feedback to ensure the editorial board at the Toronto Star cannot ignore the reality of these unfounded attacks.

This is nothing but a witch hunt. She has done so much for Brampton and we know the truth. Shame on the Star for printing trash.

Whatever happened to actual reporting? They just want to sell papers. Let her do her job.
