Ruby Mountain re-zoning could allow for commercial development

Why destroy something so beautiful?

This proposal is nothing more than a wolf in sheep's clothing. It's a slippery slope (yes, pun intended)..... As a Lamoille resident, the rural beauty of the Rubys and surrounding communities will eventually disappear. The strain on locals (traffic, property taxes etc.), the wildlife, the water resources, the emergency and healthcare resources. Keep the Rubies wild in perpetuity and send rich investors to ski elsewhere.

I have lived here all my life, and the best part of my day is driving over the summit after work to see the Ruby Mountains. That land has grown and changed a lot over the years, especially after the fire. I hope everyone in my community remembers the deviation that fire brought, and how we all prayed that our beautiful lands would be beautiful once more. I believe that a ski resort in the Ruby’s is a bad idea for so many reasons. One of them being that that terrain is not easy to ski, snowboard, or snowmobile on. It is expert level, I do not see how they could change this without ruining the beautiful land. Please do not ruin our communities pride and joy, the Ruby Mountains.

Save the Ruby’s

Leave the Ruby Mountains as the gem of Nevada. Don’t need ski resort or more people. Water is already an issue and traffic is getting worse all the time. Do the right thing and deny these developments. Preserve the Ruby Mountains.

The American people need undeveloped land much more than they need more golf courses. Please keep this land undeveloped.

Stop tearing up our beautiful god-given land That is not replaceable We already have enough destruction from the mines in this state stop tearing up our beautiful landscape

This would be a disaster and goes against why Nevadans visit the Rubies. I oppose this development and will do everything in my power to fight this from the other side of the state.

Do not allow the destruction of the Ruby Mountains and surrounding areas

Once it's developed, there's no going back. There are very few wildlife corridors in Nevada. Please protect this one.

We see time and time again how wealthy developers take over an area, price the citizens out and essentially ruin nature in the name of their profit. Absolutely not! Do not develop this raw beautiful land for sole benefit of out of state investors and their cronies.

The developers planning this ski resort need it much more than the Ruby Mountains ecosystem does. Please do not develop this beautiful part of the basin and range.

It would be a travesty to lose the wildness and irreplaceable ecosystems of the Rubies.

The Rubies are too beautiful to disturb. Let’s enjoy the beauty it currently holds.
