Way to much of our land goes to A play ground for the richest people and it has got to stop

As a homeowner I worry about all these things. I moved here for the horse friendly, small town feel. This would add stress to an infrastructure not means to handle what they’re suggesting for all reasons listed

Leave Lamoille alone. It’s the best feature of elko we have. Do not ruin that for us or the future generations

This would completely ruin the reason we chose where we live!

This will put a strain on locals by raising property taxes, rent and housing prises.

Don’t make our beautiful community ito a mini Lake Tahoe. Just came from a trip to South Lake Tahoe and it’s a cluster mess!! So many buildings, people, cars and traffic! It would ruin Spring Creek and Lamoille!

The Ruby Mountains are a pristine slice of paradise for us in Northern Nevada! They sit in a national forest and should not be developed! People from all over the world come to the Rubies to enjoy nature. We do not want a ski lodge in our backyard!

Absolutely NOT, no zone change no resorts we don't have enough irrigation water as it is . We don't need the Rudy's turning into Lake Tahoe where you can't even hardly drive around the lake summer or winter because of to many people.

We don't need a f*king resort. This isn't Reno or California. This is a small hole in the wall town that is literally in its own bubble. Why? Because we don't want to deal with out of towners. We already have enough traffic from the mines. Keep this out!!!

No to the resort. It will have way too many negative impacts on the area wildlife, residents, roads, water, and schools. Let people ski at resorts already built in other states or in the Tahoe area. We have chosen to live rural and this development would destroy that lifestyle.

I grew up in Spring Creek, from birth to adulthood, and my family still lives there. I went to her schools, hiked her peaks, tilled her earth, farmed her cattle, shoveled her insane amount of snow and ice, and lived and breathed the air coming off the Rubies. To damage these mountains, which is what any development effectively is doing, is not only not ecological, but greed driven. No resident is asking for this. This idea is put forth by people who witness the beauty of the Rubies and want to capitalize on it. At what point are humans going to realize they’ve damaged enough, changed enough, destroyed enough, before they stop ripping apart landscapes for the sake of recreation? Spring Creek is one of the best hunting grounds in NV, which also brings in revenue to the state, tourists to the region, and maintains safe wildlife numbers without impeding on their natural success. To put in a ski resort through migration lands directly impacts wildlife populations, which affects the hunting, the natural ecosystems, as well as the actual residents who rely on hunted meat. This proposal is one of profit and greed, not what is best for the community or the natural resources and benefits gained from the untouched lands of the Ruby Mountains. Leave the Rubies to shine as they always have!
