The Rt. 15 Fuel and Market is proposed for a large tract of vacant land near Points of Rocks. The property owners have rejected offers to build an 8,000 square foot cigarette outlet for which they already have the approvals to build.

The property owners want to do something special on this property and have spent two years to make it happen. The Rt. 15 Fuel and Market will establish a new standard of quality development at the Northern Gateway to Loudoun County.

Rt. 15 Fuel and Market has proposed an environmentally friendly site layout with large buffers and protection of existing floodplains and wetlands. We have designed an entrance, with turn lanes and rumple strips that enhances the safety for the motoring public on Route 15 North.

We will be a tourist destination. Visit Loudoun will have a kiosk in our food market showcasing Loudoun County history and all aspects of our rural economy. We will have an electronic app that connects you to breweries, wineries, farms and historical sites, and helps you plan your day exploring Loudoun County.

We will be a Food Market. We will have fresh, local and healthy fruits and foods, with home-grown Loudoun County products. Working with Visit Loudoun, we will showcase a large variety of Loudoun County products in our food market. It will be free for any farm or business in rural Loudoun County. We also will carry the food market goods to want to pick up but don’t want to drive miles to another food market.

We will be a fueling station. We will have enough gas pumps to serve the high volume of motorists who already travel on Route 15 North. We will have premium fuel and electric charging stations.

We will have nice restrooms and prepared food to go. We will have a dog walking travel and a pollinator garden. Rt. 15 Fuel and Market will have rocking chairs on our porches and picnic tables. We want you to have a nice experience with us and to come back.

We will not ever be a run of the mill convenience store.

We take seriously the responsibilities that come with our location at Loudoun County’s Northern Gateway and we are proud of the community in which we will operate.

Our goal is to be a destination that proudly shines a light on all that Loudoun County has to offer, while we serve the almost 20,000 vehicles a day that travel on Route 15 North.

We hope you’ll leave the Rt. 15 Fuel and Market with a bit more than fuel – we hope to offer a taste and a glimpse into what Loudoun County has to offer.

Help us make this happen.

I think this is an important amenity. I commute daily to Frederick now and all of the gas stations along 15 are dirty and sell crappy stuff. We need a high quality place to get coffee and maybe local produce. I hope they will build a long stacking lane for southbound LEFT turns into the gas station so there are no backups -- especially in the AM and PM rush hours.

Sick of the sketchy spots on 15. Real food and a clean place to stop would be a huge upgrade for all of us driving past there every day.

I understand how some folks would want this commercial land to remain fallow, but the owner has an approved Loudoun County site plan to build an 8,000 warehouse retail store to sell cigarettes in large quantities to smokers from north of the Potomac. I would prefer the smaller facility with the pumps, nice-looking market building, and the Rt. 15 safety improvements. Also, while it is perfectly legal to sell cigarettes to any adult, these cigarette warehouse in Virginia near the Maryland border attack organized crime. http://www.journal-news.net/news/local-news/2018/03/man-sentenced-to-prison-for-smuggling-cigarettes/ I would rather not have these guys in Loudoun.
