Much needed. I swam in SA school districts and feel sorry for my poor daughter who has to swim in this weather this time of year. We need this for the health of our kids.

Sooo needed! Come on, we're swimming outside in 30 degree weather! That alone should be enough to get this natatorium built.

As a parent of two (2) students that attend RRISD schools and enjoy swimming, I am also both a UIL and USA Swim Offical and know the importance and value of having a safe and well operated swim facility. It is becoming ever more difficult to meet the demand of the growing popularity of swimming in Central Texas and a RRISD Natatorium would be a great addition to our existing sports facilities. Similar to the RRISD facility on Parmer Lane, a swim center could be used not only by the local swimming population, but could host meets from through-out the state; the demand for a quality swim facility in Central Texas is very high. Other, even smaller ISD's, have invested in Natatorium's and have developed plans for sucess. RRISD has a great opportunity to fill a need in Central Texas.

No dearth of need; if we can fund multi-million dollar football stadiums I don't see why a Natatorium isn't feasible as well. The economics for a natatorium are a hell of a lot better than a football stadium when you consider all of the swim teams that are willing to rent for meets.
