I swam for McNeil for 4 years, the lack of a district Natatorium is an issue I have experienced first hand.

An indoor facility is a necessity! First off, the money it takes to build will be payed off, especially by hosting meets all year round. Second, we live in Texas and never know what the weather is going to be like! One day it will be in the 70's and the next day in the 20's-30's! Due to this weather, many teams who practice outdoors have to cut practice early due to the weather. This happens with meets as well, if the weather is too bad it is cancelled! A natatorium would help a ton because it would be indoors and weather would not be an issue. Third, swimmers in our area (which is A LOT) have to travel to Belton and San Antonio during meet season because those are the closest pools, besides UT. It is very inconvenient having to travel at least an hour to go to meets that are very close together. The meets are usually 3 days and so you either need to buy a hotel room or travel every single day. A natatorium would benefit so many people, and would be worth the money spent to build it because it would all be earned back and lots of extra money would be earned off of it.

I fully support the bldg of a natatorium. The health and fitness impact for our increasingly obese young children will be a great benefit. And the economic benefits are real as well.

Texas is one of the fastest states for swimming in the USA and we live in the fastest region in the whole state for swimming, imafine hiw much better we could be with a great training facility

We have a lot of very serious and very talented swimmers in our area and it is crazy that we still do not have a nice indoor facility to practice in or hold meets at it would not only benifit all the swimmers in the round rock area but could also bring in lots of money from meets
