RPI is doing a tremendous disservice to to their student population by halting rush for a semester. This could permanently kill membership for some chapters and deny students leadership opportunities and the chance to be part of something bigger than just themselves.

Greek Life has improved and enriched the social and academic experiences of many RPI alumni, and has resulted in friendships that have lasted a lifetime. It would be unfair to punish the entire system for the unwise actions of a few.

The SAJ administration has long held contempt for the Greek community and has increasingly been emboldened to take further actions to undermine the community. I no longer want any association with the institution as it clearly wants nothing to do with me and the people who supported me through a very difficult time.

Greek life was an essential part of my RPI experience, that participation in athletics and other school organized groups did not fulfill. I doubt I would have remained at RPI if I hadn’t joined a fraternity. It can be a tough place without a strong personal network around you.
