RPI Allow Rush and Recruitment!

Greek Life has greater value than those outside of it know, this is pointless to punish everyone.

This whole thing is dumb

I personally have many great friends from Greek life and I have yet to see many of the Greeks do anything negative. They are great people and they shouldn’t be stereotyped!

This does nothing to punish the bad actors properly and simply scapegoats greek life.

I would have dropped out of RPI if it wasn't for the support system I had within my sorority.

This ban is unfair and crude. It is an immature leadership action since RPI can’t just deal with the problems at the source. There are specific fraternities who have caused the problems of sexual misconduct should be kicked off campus for at least 4 years if the allegations are true. The punishment shouldn’t go to everyone because RPI cannot kick off the problem.

Greek life had a large impact on the success I am today. It is an important part of the community. I doubt I would return to campus nor contribute should this come to pass.

Another poor decision by the administration at RPI...

Zero support/contribution nor any career recruiting efforts will ever come from me if this goes through. I will advise others to stay away from RPI as it continues it's horrible path in all the wrong directions.

Keep the fraternities alive and vibrant.

Greek Life was one of the main reasons that I didn't transfer from RPI during my undergrad years. I still fall back on many of the practices and friendships that were instilled during my Greek Life days.

As an alumni, if Greek life is removed from RPI I would never return for any event. I would not donate. I would not recommend this school to prospective students. Greek life was the most positive aspect of my time at RPI.

Greek life, and the community service Greek organizations perform, is integral to the RPI experience and to creating positive bonds between the college and the city of Troy.

Don't punish the entire community, punish the worst offenders

RPI and the specific administration is a train wreck that killed the bond rating, jacked up the debt, has monstrous tuition to deal with that, destroyed the faculty and any ability for them to have input, and can't fund raise because they have alienated the alumni completely. I guess they are just looking to put a final nail in the coffin and guarantee greek alumni (which is a huge chunk of it) have a reason to never give again so they can have a singular high five moment for some false PR that things will magically be awesomer without greek life? My fraternity is the only reason I graduated from there - I would have moved to a school not in the frozen tundra after freshman year if it were not for those other guys. BS CS 1996

Greek life makes me feel at home, when at RPI

Ban Greek life = I don’t donate

My frat will die if we don't get freshman this semester

The universities recent actions are unacceptable. They are an attempt to distant themselves from greek life in the name of liability at the expense of student health and safety. I will never donate to this school if the harsh stipulations being applied to greek life are not removed.

Every other Greek group shouldn’t be facing the consequences of others
