RPI Allow Rush and Recruitment!

Shirley Jackson is destroying my Alma Mater. It is clear that she does not have students' best interests in mind. Not a dime until she's gone.

Greek Life is critical to the RPI experience.

Greek Life builds so many valuable life long connections, whether they be for business or friendship. Don't punish the whole for the actions of the few. If anything, punish those specific chapters.

Great life is a vital part of RPI's culture! Not having a fall rush would take away the opportunity for freshman and other unaffiliated students to experience all RPI has to offer.

This will lead to mass disaffiliation and only aggravate the root causes of recent incidents.

Suspending fall rush and recruitment for all fraternities and sororities is an over-reaction by the Greek Life Task Force. Greek life was an important, positive part in my RPI experience. Alpha Gamma Delta Class of '96

Greek life is a very important part of this schools social life and taking away Greek life will severely impact many students.

This would be completely absurd to remove recruitment for no good reason, this school is already making it hard enough on Greeks as is.

Pi Lambda Phi ‘86 Fraternity life and the friends made were invaluable to me while at RPI. Greek life has a long and valuable history as part of campus life and the student community. Punish the few, if warranted, but don’t take a kindergarten teacher approach to a large segment of RPI’s young men and women who, on the whole, give much back in service to the community.

There are Greek houses that promote inclusion and social responsibility. They must live on.

Greek life was and continues to be essential to the student experience at RPI. We need to unite and never give the school another dime if they do this...

A lot of wonderful things come out of Greek life, and a unilateral ban on recruitment is a terrible way to handle the bad actions of a few. I’ve been in university administration for 15 years, happy to engage in a dialogue that allows for more than a one-size-fits-all solution

Keep recruitment! Greek life is a valuable organization to join

To LeNorman Strong and the other members of the Greek Life Task Force -- suspending rush and recruitment would be a huge mistake. Joining a sorority or fraternity is a major networking opportunity for students. Please don't take that away from this next generation.

Greek life was my best experience at RPI, is where I made many lifelong friends, and is why I have so many fond memories of RPI. Why would you stop fall recruitment ?

If this goes through, as an alumni I will not donate money to the school.

One step closer to RPI banning greek life, and one step closer to me never returning to the school or donating a penny.
