Roxy a 2 month old baby raccoon was taken from her home on Tuesday, June 10, 2003 by the Massachusettes Dept of Wildlife. Tragically she was also killed by them that same day via liethal injection. They claim they had no choice in order to protect the public, however they were offered Health certificates on Roxy to prove there was nothing wrong with he. They chose not to read these papers and killed her anyways. She was tested for both Monkey Pox and Rabies and was found to be perfectly healthy according to Roseanne Pawlec of the Massachusettes Department of Health. This killing along with 3 other innocent baby raccoons two of which who were from Texas were uncalled for. Your signature will show your support in our cause to change the laws and help educate people on the rights of the exotic pet their owner, their breeder, their brokers and care givers. We thankyou for showing your support.
The stories coming in from other exotic pet owners are heartbreaking and prove this is a systemic problem. Please email your state representative today and demand they review current pet seizure policies. We need to apply pressure on the Department of Wildlife to stop these senseless killings.

The government needs to stop acting like they own everything. Roxy didn't deserve that.

Unbelievable. If they were healthy why take them? Those people should be fired immediately.

This is just sickening. They had the paperwork right there and still just killed her. Poor baby.

So heartbreaking. People should be able to care for the animals they love without the state stepping in like this.
