The pitch will be a great asset to Roundwood Park School, Harpdnden Colts and the community. Such a pitch is needed in the area and will cut down on travel to places such as Hatfield and Luton.

It is so important to provide good facilities to encourage children to play sport and to have these facilities in the area in which they live. It is important for the community to have its own facilities and for all ages to be able to enjoy an all weather playing surface avoiding the disappointment of cancelled games.

I have 2 sons and we have been involved with Harpenden Colts for more than 13 years. The club plays a vital part in the local community and has never had the facilities that it needs. The new training facilities are much needed and should help the club continue to move forward and develop.

This is a much needed facility. I've 2 boys that have both played for Harpenden Colts and I'm fed up with ferrying them to Luton every Friday evening during the winter.

This is really important to enable all year round facilities for football in Harpenden. Many schools outside of Harpenden have these pitches, whilst our children's matches get cancelled or they are bogged down in mud, unable to play skilful and passing games. It will be great for the school and local community too.
