A long overdue community facility for the most popular sport in Harpenden

This facility will not just benefit the Club, but will deliver long-term advantages to the whole community. It has my wholehearted support!

Colts is a fabulous organisation getting hundreds of local boys and girls playing football every week. This facility will ensure it continues to thrive for generations to come!

This would be a fantastic facility for Harpenden sports and a real asset to the community.

We need more sporting facilities today to encourage kids, and try to minimise the time they spend on their phones!

Please support this fantastic club run by locals, used by locals and supported by locals but so far with no local ground to call their own. This is Harpenden at its best - but they need local facilities to thrive and develop.

I support this important development for youth football in Harpenden. It has become noticeable that teams that have astro training facilities in the winter improve their standard more than the Harpenden teams during the season. It is difficult to train for 9 and 11 aside games in a sportshall.

I'm 13 and live in Harpenden. I think this pitch is really needed and I know me and my friends would use it.

This is a facility that would greatly enhance the sporting facilities within the town and benefit an enormous number of children both within Harpenden and the local area.

I fully support this idea. Harpenden Colts enriches the lives of thousands of young people in Harpenden and this will allow more girls and boys to take part in sport.

This project is an essential step for the town of Harpenden. It will secure provision of a high quality all weather facility Designed to allow all footballers to develop and learn their skills without making the unnecessary car journeys to either Luton, Hatfield or St Albans or, worse still, playing on inadequate grass pitches. The partnership model with Roundwood provides certainty around operational viability and achievement of required funding and represents the best option for both Harpenden Colts and Roundwood school. Harpenden Colts is an inclusive football club with boys girls and those with disabilities all benefiting from coaching which deals primarily with the technical, physical, psychological and social aspects of sport. This is invaluable to our young people as they are growing up and Harpenden Colts provides a tremendously positive environment in which to learn these skills which the proposed facility can only enhance. Having travelled the world as an International Paralympic footballer and seen so many of these projects bring tremendous benefit to Young people across the globe, I wholly endorse this application.

My daughter plays football at a club there and would greatly benefit to an Astro turf pitch. Excellent for all local schools and the community.

We, the Residents of Harpenden, need this great new facility to improve local football.

A town the size of Harpenden needs a great football facility for all to use.
