I see how drivers in other roundabout slow down(they don't) so to put by a school park and pool,I don't see it is safe for our children. We have a good crossing guard who keeps our children safe. Please don't put a roundabout in. Thank You

I disagree with this roundabout. Shouldn't the safety of children and pedestrians be the top priority? i would like to see something that shows the number of accidents at this controlled intersection versus the roundabout on College. The area is already congested at school drop off and pick up so by the city deciding to take a portion of parking away you are making a tough situation tougher. The current situation is not broke but by your action it will be. NO ROUNDABOUT!

I feel this is a dangerous resolution to a non existent problem.

This is not safe with the school so close. Crossing at College Ave roundabout is dangerous and nearly impossible.

I have been witness to several accidents at the College Ave roundabout on the other side of the street. I have almost been hit trying to cross. My KIDS have almost been hit. You can't post a crossing guard 24 / 7. Between the school, the pool and what's left of the park, putting in another roundabout is going to result in someone being struck by a car. There has never been problems at the intersection in its current state. I'd love to see the number of incidents in the roundabout vs the intersection at John.

This is an absolutely terrible idea! This intersection is not the appropriate place for a roundabout. Our children's safety is more important than whatever reason the city Public Works department has to gain from this. A pamphlet to Richmond families will not help. We are the ones already aware of the dangers, the general public has demonstrated that they do not know how to safely navigate these roundabouts. Just last school year, a Richmond student was hit and injured by a vehicle in the roundabout at College Ave & John St. Visibility is not good enough to put the crossing guards and school children at risk. In addition, during summer months, this intersection is the only safe way for many children & families to access Mead Pool. Use some common sense and avoid a tragedy!
