SAVE THE ARTS AT ROSEMEAD HIGH! The EMUHSD is at it again. All our auditorium techs have been put on a list to be pink slipped (laid off--employment terminated) in an attempt to make mandated budget cuts. Mr. Adam Delgado, Director of Maintenance and Operations, refers to both the RHS and EMHS auditoriums as "money pits" and has repeatedly voiced his desire to close both of them. He doesn't understand why drama, choir, band, ASB, etc. need the support of our auditorium staff. Additionally, the ROP stage technology, sound and lighting, and professional acting classes are all possible victims of the budget ax. Please let the district administration and school board know how important these programs have been to you and to others. We need to make it clear that our programs mean a great deal to a lot of people.
