Hello everyone! I was approached by our wonderful standing class president, Jenia, a few weeks ago about running for president and the thought of representing our class hasn't escaped my mind. As such, I am pleased to announce my campaign for 2L Class President.

I served as your 1L Class Treasurer for the past year and it has been a wonderful experience thus far. I spearheaded the class sweatshirt project--designing the sweatshirts, crunching the numbers, and ensuring that they would be provided to you for free. After former Dean Jennings told me about Marjorie Lang, a JD and counselor at the wellness center, I communicated this to my fellow class officers and together we facilitated a presentation on mental wellbeing in law school.

As a first-generation law student and biracial woman raised in a middle-eastern household, I value not only diversity, but intersectionality, and have a strong appreciation for ensuring that everyone's voice is heard. I want to know your concerns, actually make things happen, and most importantly be your friend. I have also had the pleasure of serving you as a Dean's Fellow, and I am equipped to ensure that the needs of our class (and the overall student body) are of utmost importance to the university if elected president.
