Rory Gallagher was an absolute master, a brilliant guitarist and songwriter switching effortlessly from rock to 1920's blues. Marvellous energy and drive on stage, modest and retiring off it.

The most underrated songwriter ever. Brilliant guitarist, with a unique voice, a stage-animal. An extremely beautiful, heartwarming man. Pure and true to himself and to his music. Left us too soon but will never be forgotten. Rock on dear Rory. We love you! XXX

I was very fortunate to see Rory about the age of 15 at Victoria Hall Hanley. I had never really heard the Blues by this time and I have loved them ever since. I am going to see Black Sabbath in December inventers of heavy Metal, not so sure about this, I heard that Rory has this honour, from his 60's band. Ridiculous that he is not in the Rock & Roll hall of Fame though.

Long overdue, the man is a legend in his own right, respected and revered by all that knew how to play the guitar.
