Rory had it all ....One of the all time great guitar players(but much more than that), incredible songwriter/soulful singer, incredibly charismatic showman and giving performer, incredibly humble and nice, incredibly cute.;-) Some others may be more famous, but none are more deserving than Rory to be inducted into the R&R HOF! Can't believe he wasn't one of the very first to be inducted! A huge loss to music.

That man played guitar like no one I ever seen before. I was lucky enough to see him 3 times

Growing up in the Detroit area there are many musical influences. Rock, Blues, R&B and of course Motown! Personally I have seen many of the great gutairst from so many different genres. Page, Blackmore, Alvin Lee, Tony Iommi, Eddie Van Halen, Ted Nugent, Joe Perry, Alex Lifeson, Santanna, and many others. When I heard Rory do "Bullfrog Blues" from the Live in Europe LP I was STUNNED! Who was this guy, where was he from and I had to hear more from this great guitarist. Saw Rory live once in a small Detroit venue back in the early 80's and was mesmerized. His stripped down, no flash way of attacking his music and working man attitude allowed him to have a connection with everyone. A true master of the guitar, never to be repeated.
