Roots Coffee & Community is a dynamic social enterprise set up to enhance the community of Kingsholm, Gloucester. The historic former cooperative building is set to be sympathetically restored and again serve this community. A modern coffee house and community use space providing classes, courses and events will fast become a mechanism for community invovlement. The project will be available in Alvin Street by early 2013. Kingsholm really needs a place like this. Alvin street feels so dead lately and it would be great to have somewhere nice to go.
Great idea. The old building has been an eyesore for years. Turn it into something useful for the locals.

Long overdue. The area is lacking a decent coffee shop and a space for meeting people. Good luck with the restoration.
