A library would be a much better investment in the quality of community life than a private development to just make money.

We need this library!!! Please don't remove this or reduce plans. Libraries are central to community and learning, especially for children.

In the 12 years I have lived here I have never, ever taken my kids to the Library. There once was a time where the library was the only place you could get books and information. Those days are long gone. When I was a kid, my mother bought us a set of encyclopedias, I donated those to Deseret Industries a decade ago. We don't need a library, we don't need phone books, we don't need taxes to pay for more junk that is outdated. Sell the land and close the library at the Town Center. AF's library is bigger and better and only a short drive to use it for anyone who doesn't have the internet.

Having lived in communities both with and wthout a council dedicated to the library system, I can attest to the positive impact a large and well stocked Library has on a community. Highland needs this, and more importantly, Highland residents need this.

I was so excited for Highland to finally have it's own and have watched it grow. It has so much great potential, but needs to be given the oppurtunity!!!!!

As a previous employee of the highland city library, I understand and agree with the need for a larger one. This isn't just about books, it's about giving kids, students, and adults a quiet place to study, work and grow. The library as it stands now is too small to give room for people wishing to study. Please don't sell the land, libraries are not a dying breed. We need them not only for the space it provides, but for the knowledge it contains.

We need to keep this land for the future growth of the Highland City Library. I would love to see more people have a bigger and better library to go to and this can only happen if we keep this land.

Libraries are an essential part of a community. This land should be preserved for literacy needs and the arts. I have taught in this area for 14 years. My Highland students benefit greatly from our local library. As a teacher and patron I was so excited when it opened. However, it needs to be expanded.

The city should hold onto this land. Future expansion of the library could include participation from neighboring cities or the county, making this more economically feasible for the city and allowing the library to serve a broader population.

Libraries are such an incredible piece of a well-rounded, well-educated, and United community. Please don't sign off on this vital piece of the city!
