I really dont give a crap about the RnR HOF but I feel strongly that if there's going to be one, then Ronson should be inducted IMMEDIATELY.
His guitar playing and searing thick tone is instantly recognizable-well to my ears anyway-and its not phrased in a cliche way...its intricate, emotional playing and with.a purpose to serve the song.
At any rate he was the big frickin spider from mars. I just shudder to think of all the future generations who will assume david bowie played nasty guitar on ziggy.
Lastly- he reads like a humble and well-loved guy-so he also deserves it on personality as well.

For his arrangements alone ('Life on Mars', 'Starman' and many more) he should be in the hall of fame, and now add to that his guitar anthems... His musical achievements deserve more recognition to the general public.

Colin, I'm from Hull and have a little connection with the Spiders.
In 2017 The City of Hull (Micks hometown too) is going to be the UK's 'City of Culture' and could not be a more fitting time to step up our efforts regarding the legend of Mick Ronson.

Long over due, Ronson inspired a generation of guitarists, but never had an ego or demanded star billing & recognition. He could have used it. Original, heavy and melodic, he is really one of a kind.
