Ronnie was a true friend to everyone. I remember being at the playground with his boom box on his shoulder sings the songs tot the best of his ability. Yes they should name the playground after him

ive been gone from Syracuse since the 70's but Ronnie was the best ... a fixture ... in all the best ways ... and my Westvale experience would not have been the same without him ... absolutely love this tribute to a great human being

This is such a fantastic idea. As a kid growing up in Westvale, I would see Ronnie on a daily basis at Parks & Rec (Cherry Rd.) or hanging out at the Mack's house. I have so many fond memories of Ronnie but one that came back to me recently was how Ronnie had 4 grand slams in one inning vs the Red Sox. We could have used his bat when we opened the season vs BOS this year.

We all enjoyed Ronnie stopping by either out front on our side walk or in our garage to chat. He was in route to the playground.
What chuckles we had and such a blessing to Westvale. I endorse this recommendation wholeheartedly.

My sister and I are 14 years apart and both of us played with, and learned from, Ronnie on the Cherry Road School playground .

Ronnie is a wonderful man who should be honored by having the place where the community was exposed to his goodness named after him now while he can enjoy it.

The many memories I have, and the countless stories I've heard from others, show the tremendous presence Ronnie had and the endless joy he brought to all who knew him. His pureness of heart is an example each of us should strive for and hope, and naming the playground after him would be a perfect way to both honor him and to be a lasting example of the his amazing character to future generations. The district should not question whether Ronnie is deserving of having the playground named after him, it should be thankful so many believe the playground is deserving of being named after Ronnie.

I will never forget him! I lived on Parsons Dr and he talked to me almost everyday in the front yard and we would walk to Cherry Rd School together to hang out on the playground. He was a huge positive influence to all the kids as well as adults in the neighborhood.

Know Ronnie well. My mom whose 93 use to be the cleaning lady for their home for many years. Ronnie would come to our home for visits. And I even got a marriage proposal from him. Hope he's doing well.
