As many of you will know, I grew up on Cherry Road and loved it so much my wedding reception was held in my parents' backyard. On the evening of my wedding Ronnie stopped by my parents' driveway and when he learned what was happening there he asked someone to come and get me. I happily obliged and brought my husband out to the driveway to meet Ronnie. We chatted with him for quite a bit before returning to the reception. It was one of the best stories we now tell from the event.

I raised my children on E. Clover Rd and, when small, their babysitter lived next door to Ronnie. He was such an important part of our lives and I can think of no better way to honor all that he did for the children of the Westhill district than to name the playground for him.
