Mick Taylor for the Stones' Isle of Wight Gig
This summer on June 11th, the Rolling Stones will play their first UK festival date in over 30 years on the Isle of Wight as part of their extended 'Bigger Bang' Tour. It was also around 30 years ago that Mick Taylor, perhaps one of the greatest guitarists of all time, left the Stones after a number of disputes. Since then Taylor seems made up with the band, even appearing on stage with them in Kansas in 1981. I for one would love to see this happen again, with a festival crowd of 50,000, most of whom will be too young to have seen the Stones in their 70's pomp, this is a great opportunity for it to happen. Once significantly signed, this petition will be sent to representatives of the Rolling Stones and Mr Taylor, along with major media outlets. We hereby petition Sir Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Ron Wood, Charlie Watts and Mr Mick Taylor to come together for one 'last time' at the Isle of Wight festival, 2007, for the benefit of their legion of loyal fans, young and old.
