This skatepark would make Rockwall a lot more viable recreationally, and my friends and I have been skateboarding for more than 8 years now always wishing for any kind of skatepark to be built in Rockwall.

I know a few kids that I teach that have to drive to Wylie or Richardson so this would be good for them to have here in our community.

A skate and bike park will be a great addition to our community. We have to drive to Allen to have a place to rode out bikes and skateboards. Having one closer to home will allow us to spend more time at the park and go more frequently. It will also generate more business for our local businesses.

Rockwalls motto is go outside and play! Put your (our tax money) where your mouth is. Ethical development is necessary for the community. We have enough whataburgers and subdivisions. We need a more places to enjoy the outdoors. The majority of Harry Meyers is wasted space. Build a skate park.!!!

This would be amazing. Right now we drive about an hour to go to Plano skatepark or Alliance in Grand Prairie. This would be a great way for kids to meet new friends with the same interest too!

Rockwall NEEEDS a skatepark! The closest real skatepark is in Plano or frisco and they are 35-45 minutes away. There’s so much room in Rockwall for a beautiful skatepark and it would be such an attraction, (see Taylor, TX skatepark for a good example, people will drive hours just to go to Taylor Skatepark)

The skatepark community and culture is evolving for the better. More and more kids and teens are interested in getting involved in self-paced, self-disciplined, and communal activities rather than team sports more than ever. As their parents, teachers, and mentors it's our responsibility to provide them with the tools to achieve their highest potential. That starts with giving them an environment.
