Well time is up our Police Chief and our Mayor and also our City Council and Winnebago County Board Chairman all have to get booted out of office starting with the next city election enough is enough start packing your bags all of you.

Do not encrypt before you get the National Guard in here to clean up what's left of Rockford (Thugford). The few of us left that are decent have a right to know what's going on with the level of crime all over this town till then. We have needed the National Guard here for at least 2 years & counting.. Time for the new Police Chief & pretend Mayor to make the call NOW.

I feel that is such an injustice to the public for us to know what going on around us...to where may it affects their family, neighborhoods, jobs...we won't know what's going on anymore...what's going on currently & that may also affect our travel time because of things that may be going on...areas to avoid (ie: detours) Jobs, appointments & such!!! Stop it! We have a right to know!!!!

People need to be in the know!! I believe it's a right to know what's going on in the city as far as crime issues! It's a way to protect ourselves! I don't want to read days later about it I want to hear when it happens! Why hide the facts?

Listening to scanners has been useful to the community for many reasons. I have used them to keep update on events in my neighborhood. When there have been shootings, robberies, home invasions, even car chases I have been able to make the decision to go into my home instead of staying outside not because of fear but to be safe. Having open scanner channels assists with public safety.
