We should know whats going on and where for our safety. The dumb ass criminals already know where it happened obviously and know you are looking for them. They already try to do everything so they don't get caught. Duh!

I think it's our right to know what's going on and where. It keeps the public informed so if crime happens in our neighborhood we can help the police catch the subjects. Criminals carry guns, not scanners. Most of them don't even understand what the 10 codes mean.

I just purchased a new scanner so, I could listen to what is going on in our city. They can be helpful to the police. I was listening on evening about a bad hit and run, close to neighborhood. And there went the car right in front of my home. Called 911 with the direction of travel. Well, they did locate the car and driver with the information I provided. Taking it away makes no sense to me.

Full disclosure is a must!! It can be delayed,i undestand the lag on real-time, but the public must have the info available if so needed

This is not the first time in our history that our public servants have thought that what they did was none of our business. Accountability isn't an option that can be removed.

The scanner held keep us posted on what's going on in the neighborhoods, the Little things you don't hear on the news. Helps is to keep a heads up to help crimestoppers.. I don't think it helps the bad guys...by the time the act is committed they already know police are in the way. So let please don't encrypt it
