I would love for them to keep the scanner going. I work different shifts at my job i need to know that i can depend on the scanner to keep me safe an on my two feet.

It helps to know what areas to avoid if they are doing investigation of shootings or accidents. You can use encrypting when it comes to undercover work and so on but regular calls please keep open.

I love the scanner because being a caregiver for Seniors, it's helped me in the past because the news is instantaneous for example: if a senior high rise loses power and we have patients there we know right away and if they are on oxygen we can take the proper precautions ASAP. Please don't take this away. It helps us help our patients.

The ones committing crimes are not listening to a police scanner. Maybe a meth lab would but the risk of a spark from an electrical device could spell disaster for them. I really dont think thugs care to sit around listening to police calls.
