Rockcliffe in Westsyde would you please kindly REMOVE your Towing Threat Signs on Ida Lane
Now the Rockcliffe Strata in Westyde build's some new homes and think it necessary to push everyone who has enjoyed the lake and trail for many years down to the bottom of the hill for no good reason with their towing threat signs along both sides of the road. There is more than enough room for vehicles to park, as they always have, without having any impact on anyone or anything. There isn't even a single home within a throwing distance of where vehicle have parked in years past.
So what is the harm in allowing people to park by the trail access? There isn't any!
Please sign if you think a the families of Kamloops should have the right to park on Ida Lane near the trails access and Rockcliffe should do the right thing and remove their "park and be towed" signs.

I drove by the trail entrance this morning and seeing the empty space where families used to gear up for their hikes was heartbreaking. The silence from the strata board is frustrating but it only motivates me to keep pushing until our kids can access the water safely again.

Seeing this kind of momentum feels like a weight has been lifted because it proves that I am not the only one who cares about keeping these trails accessible for our families. It is incredible to know that so many of you value these memories at the lake just as much as my daughter and I do.

So what is the harm in allowing people to park by the trail access? There isn't any!
Since when does a strata have the right to control city roadways and boulevards? If the vehicles are not harming anything (and aren't even within throwing distance of houses), I see zero reasonable reasons to allow the banning of vehicles parking to walk the trail. I lived on Ida Lane (near the top) for 8 years, people always parked at the top of Ida Lane to walk the trail during the summer, it was never an issue. I see no reason to force people to not park on Ida Lane at all, it's all public property (I'm assuming a little bit here that the road is not private property at the top of Ida Lane with the new development?) Either way, it's not neighbourly when there's no good reason (safety or noise concerns, etc) to block them.
Complete bs. Let people enjoy the park!

Protect citizens rights to access lakes and parks. Politicians shouldn't sell our water rights to line there pockets.

Look people. Before the strata there was no road. Everyone had to walk up to the trail head. Then the road was built and people started to use the road to park closer. The fact however is it is a private road. The public do not have some automatic right to use it. The public are not paying to maintain it or have snow removed the residents are. Go back to walking in like was always the case before. No one is stopping you accessing the trails. There is covenant written in to the development guaranteeing access. It does not give rights to park your cars on what is a private road.
