The emails I receive about this are filled with frustration because people want a reason to celebrate their history together. I am spending my evenings chasing down officials who prefer to look the other way. This remains a long road but I am not walking away from it until they finally listen.

About time too. why should we be ashamed of our own culture? get it done.
St Georges day is always forgotten about. would be lovely to have a proper day off to celebrate with the family.
Its about time we had a day for our patron saint like the irish do. im sick of us being the only ones who dont celebrate our own heritage properly.
long overdue. bring it back and celebrate england.
would be a great boost for everyone. hope this actually happens this time fingers crossed

YES!! we need more bank holidays especially in the spring. tired of working through until may.
