This is a health and safety concern as well as noise pollution that endangers the immediate community on Anderson Road, I believe this is warranted and Council needs to take note and take action as soon as possible.

This is an ideal change and a thorough proposal that appears to make sensible compromises. The current situation is dangerous. On the decline of the road its easy for the large trucks to pick up speed, let alone those who just want to get to work super quick. Add in very large trees that obscure the footpaths and a local families with kids its an unsafe environment.

Please STOP Trucks from using this quiet suburban road with kids playing in the street from BIG trucks zooming through at all times. There is a childcare and children are every where. STOP this from happening !!!!!

Thanks David, I support this petition, I do find it very annoying with small cars and trucks passing through our road at 4am in the morning and sometimes in the afternoon with high speed. Not only just nuisance noise but also safety to pedestrians. We should have speed humps installed on our road as well.

I strongly support this petition .Anderson road is becoming dangerous. With industrial waste trucks and other heavy vehicles using it now .This heavy truck problem is set to increase dramatically with the proposal to have a waste processing plant in Hearne st. they will all be taking short cuts down Anderson rd day and night.

Come on council be proactive and act before an incident occurs. Listen to residents concerns - you have the power to fix this.

I completely support this petition, The second you reverse out of your home the trucks are right on you, A very dangerous road. Also a large increase in particle (dust & dirt) in Anderson road last few years. No place for this sort of operation when young children and seniors have to use this supposingly family oriented area.

The trucks that travel on Anderson Rd are a danger to the residents who live on the street and in surrounding streets.

For everyone’s safety, trucks should stick to the main roads

Trying to reverse or drive out of my driveway with my baby in the car is frightening. There are often large trucks parked on the street blocking the view and the speed of the trucks coming up/down Anderson Road makes it a disaster waiting to happen. In addition to the safety concerns, we are consistently woken at 3 or 4 am by trucks & vehicles accessing the industrial area. Something needs to be done to improve the communities safety particularly given there is a childcare centre on Anderson Road.

Residents’ safety must always trump business’ access, convenience, or anything else, really.

We support this petition - Council needs to address this problem and issue fines for breaches of noise, speeding and illegal parking in what was once a quiet residential street.

I was thinking the same thing. I have had a few near misses trying to get out of my driveway near Oates Rd. The heavy trucks and utilities speed along the street at all hours. I've had numerous flat tyres from screws that have fallen off the back of Utes.

It is extremely dangerous getting out of driveways near Oates Road - both in the forward and reverse direction.

I agree with this petition as the waste bin company in Anderson rd uses our street all day/night in a unsafe manner. again the speed of all industrial traffic makes it unsafe to reverse out of driveways and around the intersection of Oates.
