Not to mention the dust and dirt they carry and drop.

Great idea David. Trucks go throughout the night and scream up the road waking my household at 0430am every morning and the speed that they come down the street in ridiculous. I have 2 young children and am constantly worried about them.

There are real safety issues here. I am sick of my family being at risk when reversing out of our dirveway when cars, trucks scream into Anderson Road from Boundary Road. I have previously written to Council about this but no action was taken. I'm worried it will take a serious incident before any changes are implemented.

I haven't lived in Anderson very long. But a conversation that has been prevalent in our house over the last 18 months, has definitely been about the noise and traffic on this road. The trucks are definitely a huge issue. However, i think the incident that took place a few months ago, where a hoon crashed into a fence and then proceeded to take off, is a big red flag of other issues that this petition could also help to eliminate. The amount of cars we hear hooning around the streets at all times of the night is ridiculous, and blocking the end of Anderson off would be a great way to alleviate this other problem.

Since the council allowed the skip service Combined skips to take up position in Anderson Road this has been a major issue. The cowboys who drive these skips have no care for any other people who use the roads - fellow car drivers or pedestrians. We have had a number of b double trucks parked overnight and at weekends out the front of 12 Anderson road. These trucks warm up their engines from 4.23 for 7 minutes and then move off at 4.30.
There is also a number of trucks which travel down Anderson Road to the factory areas at 3 am. Surely Council can police these times and I ask the question, "Are factories allowed to be open at this hour of the morning and if not who is taking delivery of these goods?"
I have lived in Anderson Road for 45 years and have seen the traffic increase 10 fold in that time.
Another issue to address is the corner of Anderson Road and Boundary Road. The skips rocket around this corner causing many near accidents with people attempting to get out of their driveways. They then travel at more than 50 down the street.
A nice park in the middle of the road would also afford a quieter place for workers in the street to have lunch breaks.

I have difficulty daily entering Anderson Road from Oates drive (turning right) fearing a collision, because of speeding cars or trucks from either direction and parked cars blocking line of sight. I fear my children’s safety when crossing the road.
