• WE HAVE UNITED OUR NEIGHBORHOOD’S BASIC QUALITY-OF-LIFE EXPECTATIONS THROUGH THE VOICE OF ROCA. ROCA WILL WORK WITH THE CITY AND COUNTY OF SACRAMENTO OFFICIALS TO ACHIEVE OUR URGENT NEEDS.
• CRIME IS TRENDING UP. OUR HOMES, BUSINESSES AND NEIGHBORS ARE BEING VICTIMIZED AT INCREASING RATES. OUR PARKS, BIKE TRAILS, RIVERS AND NATURE AREAS HAVE BECOME UNSAFE AND UNHEALTHY.
• ROCA INTENDS TO USE OUR INFLUENCE WITH THE CITY/COUNTY TO PRODUCE POSITIVE RESULTS FOR OUR COMMUNITY BY EXPRESSING THE INDIVIDUAL VOICES FROM WITHIN OUR COMMUNITY INTO A UNITED MANDATE
• WE SUPPORT INCREASING POLICE MANPOWER FOR PATROLS AND INVESTIGATIONS AS BURGLARIES, ASSAULTS, ROBBERIES AND OTHER PROPERTY CRIMES ARE RISING
• IMMEDIATE ACTION TO CONTROL/ELIMINATE GROWING HOMELESS CAMPS IN OUR AREA, ADDRESSING THOSE SELLING DRUGS TO HOMELESS AND OTHERS, AS WELL AS TREATMENT OR DETAINMENT OF HABITUAL USERS, PROVISION OF HOMELESS TRANSITIONAL HOUSING WITH APPROPRIATE SECURITY AND SOCIAL SERVICES ASSISTANCE
• MORE PARK RANGERS PATROLLING OUR LEVY PARKWAY AND BIKE PATHS
• RECONSIDERATION OF TRAFFIC AND SCHOOL IMPACTS FROM PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT BY BEAZER HOMES AND DOWNTOWN FORD ON W. EL CAMINO, ORCHARD LANE, BARANDAS, WEST RIVER DRIVE AND THE RAMPS TO/FROM I-80 AND I-5.

I support this petition since crime is up in the neighborhood and traffic is terrible during school drop off and pick up. I have lived in the area since 2011 and have seen an increase with the homeless problem and theft.
We are dealing with constant theft, discarded needles, thrash, harassment of families, harassment of children going to Leroy Greene school, and public indecency as they use the green belt as a toilet. Pls put a higher priority on tax paying and voting constituents! Craig and Terrie Page
Our home has been broken into or attempted break in 3 times in the past few years. We have had to make multiple calls regarding drug deals happening on our street during the time children are walking home from school or having soccer games or practice. I look forward to working towards a solution.
County and city must coordinate and share resources and initiatives to increase police forces to fight crime, and to proactively address the homeless situation! As taxpayers and voters, we cannot accept the erosion of property values, quality of life and security!
My first concern is getting the homeless out of our neighborhoods, parks, trails and city streets. Sadly I am no longer sympathetic after seeing and hearing all of the problems. I hope this petition works but with a mayor and local politicians that do nothing but try to throw money at the problem and tie the hands of the police I am not optimistic.
I would like to see less crime and homeless in our neighborhood. We live in such a great location in Sacramento and need to preserve it. Thank you

Neighbors are moving out of the area at a high rate and many homes are for sale because of the increasing crime. We're afraid to sleep at night and not be there to guard our property!
