It seems we have had a dose of the Sheffields area of water mainly in my opinion the Sheffied Authority has used their money wisely. However I feel the Doncaster areas of the Don was sacrificed to save Sheffield. With that in mind send this water to London and see if they like it.!!!!!!!!!!!

Dredging should never have been stopped on all rivers small or big like the river don , and all the concrete jungles that are being built raising the water table around us

I've been saying since 2007 when Bentley was flooded last time that the rivers should be deepened or widened to accommodate the flood waters. It's alright raising the walls, but that just means any land lower down the line gets flooded. We know it will cost the councils extra money doing this, but isn't it better than all these people being flooded and not being able to get insurance.

I think it disgraceful the way our rivers and ditch’s have been neglected by the Environmental agency. If they had been maintained properly over the years flooding would not be an issue. You the Agency are given money directly from the government to do this job. My one wish would be for you people at the top of the agency would have to endure what the people of Doncaster have once again suffered .No excuses can undue the stress and inconvenience people suffered because you didn’t do your job properly. Don’t blame money just take a look at the north/south divide thar exists and that is part of your answer.

Think common sense before the pound signs. I urge the Government to make this be a priority, not just for a few weeks but long term. Insurance companies need to be looked at and scrutinised and not to get away from this disaster.

When Wainfleet flooded the environment agency stated they were to check all river banks.

After the last flooding, measures should have been taken then instead, of a second devastation to all the households who flooded before,it shouldn't be happening in this day and age
