Chickens will be a welcome addition to my backyard to help with my garden, bugs and even compost. Then there is the added benefit of fresh eggs

I love this and I want to have chickens in our backyard. I believe our garden would flourish and help with the bug problem, not to mention having fresh eggs.

I raised hens in the past, would love to have them in my backyard for eggs, and compost for my garden. Janet Fortier

Chickens would not have as much impact on neighbors as barking dogs of all sizes & cats that are allowed to run loose & urinate on neighbor's plants & gardens. Or magpies squawking at all hours.

We have 7 backyard hens in the hamlet of Springbrook, AB. We've been here 2 years & so far no complaints :) It is a wonderful experience for children & adults alike!!

We have a right as human beings to produce our own food. This includes chickens and eggs, regardless of what our neighbours think.

Our society has become far too removed from the source of our food. This is a step in the right direction.

I have friends in Ontario who have their own chicken coop, it seems to provide them with much fulfillment in many aspects of their day. I feel there is no reason to not allow chickens in our yard, if it was good enough for generations before us, why is it not good for us now?
