The safety of students should be the goal and should be supported and it is currently falling short.

It is absolutely RIDICULOUS that we are even having to petition for this service. Providence is not a safe city and our students should never have to feel unsafe.

This could help so many people get access safely to studio during the demanding after hours work schedule

Necessary. The same company handles Brown's evening onCall ride service, so it's not like it can't be done.

Extended hours, and more vehicles would be great. Even if it's not the most efficient use of RISD's $$$, it's at least not a bad place to splurge a little.

We have received emails of reports of crime occurring on campus at hours such as 6pm. I would feel safer as a small female with the comfort that I can call RISD Rides at any time no matter where I am going to or from if I feel unsafe.

This is my first year living off campus, but even when I lived in risd housing, I never felt safe walking home in the dark (this means right at 5pm here in Providence) and I would feel so much safer if I could get a safe ride home rather than bracing myself in the dark thinking of how many ways I could use my water bottle or keys or hot tea as a weapon should I need to.
