The crosswalks need help as well. People refuse to stop as children try to cross... Even if other cars DO stop, they just go around them and almost hit the kids. Perhaps the crosswalk lights are in order?

I've biked that section of road regularly for months, and know it is dangerous. In its current state, I can't think of allowing my two middle schoolers to bike to school. A bike lane would alleviate that concern.

Please consider the pedestrian friendly design of the future when reworking Rio Rd. There are so many good reasons to encourage cycling, walking, running, and other forms of pedestrian travel. Thank you!

There's no sidewalk along either side of the road for a long way, either. When people can bike and walk safely, they'll go farther for a parking space.

We need better bike lanes for both the safety of cyclists, as well as the ease of movement for motorists. It just makes sense.
