I am a transgendered man working for a privately owned company in San Francisco. I have been very lucky with both my fair treatment at work and by my coworkers in general. Good luck and keep fighting to right this injustice that you have experienced!

Human rights are not just heterosexual rights. We all have the right to live our lives in dignity, free of harassment by those who are ignorant. If the tables were turned, the City and County of SF would enforce the rules. They should do the right thing now and ensure their workplaces are free of discrimination against trans-people, too.
