Right To Work While Being Transgender

We all look to San Francisco for leadership. Please act like responsible adults.

Because Mr James deserves to be treated as a legit individual. Just like anybody else.

It is unconscionable that Mr. James should have to deal with any form of harassment at all, especially in regards to his transgender status.

Mr. Remeke James deserves to be treated with respect in his workplace, in accordance with City and County Laws.

I'm embarrassed we have to even think of a petition for this in San Francisco!

I wish to take the time to Thank each and every one of you for your support. Just a reminder this case will be in court in February of 2016. I recently read one of the post in which the advice was for me to be ready to be dragged through the wringer. What I am aware of is that I already have been dragged through the wringer. I have all ready been put on trial in a sense for just fighting back. I have had my right to transition on my job with dignity taken away, while my co workers continue to act as they wish, and the city pushes to take my job away from me. Dragged through the wringer is just part of the process of fighting against hate. Please continue your support and circulate this petition. Thank you. Peace, Remeke James

Everyone deserves to be able to work and make a fare wage.

When are we going to stop this pettiness? ALL of us have the right to work with dignity, and without fear of harassment!

This is scary. I fear this everyday where I live. There really needs to be a non-discrimination law nation wide that is fully enforced, when it comes to gender-identity. But for it to successful, it needs to start at a local level. This needs to be correct for this man and we as a nation need to really check our-selves to see why we are so hateful of anyone who is "different". He is just trying to live his life.

San Francisco this is egregious. Please do better. Be better. No one should have to endure this level of degradation. I stand in solidarity with Mr. James. May justice as well as equity prevail with expediency .

Thank you for being willing to step out and forge the way for future Trans people. It's people like you that make me feel better about my trans daughters future!

It is shameful that the City and County of San Francisco has allowed this situation to continue for so long. Mr. James is not just a long-time employee, he is also a skilled, highly competent worker who has been treated as though his many contributions have no value. Mr. James deserves to be able to do his job in peace, without fear, and with respect and appreciation.

How outrageous, that in a city such as San Francisco, that this should still be happening. I hope Mr. James gets the justice he deserves.

No worker should have to deal with harassment from the company they work for. Period. It shouldn't matter that they are transgender

I deserve to work while being who I am without fear of bullying and/or discrimination.

Everyone should be able to work, regardless of their sexual identity AND their gender identity.
